About Ms. Flores

I began my journey at The University of Texas at Austin with plans to pursue medicine, but along the way I discovered my true passion -- teaching. This realization led me to shift my path and dedicate myself to education. I earned my B.S. in Biology and recently completed my teacher preparation coursework.

Currently, I am serving as a long-term substitute at NYOS Charter School, where I teach Biology and Anatomy & Physiology. These experiences have strengthened both my content knowledge and my love for helping students make meaningful connections to science.

Outside the classroom, I’m a proud mom, and that role inspires me daily to bring patience, care, and dedication into my teaching practice. My goal is to teach science to secondary students across Central Texas, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a lasting appreciation for the natural world.
